Khristyn Brimmeier
Vice President
Khristyn Brimmeier is a Vice President in the Public Affairs division of The Glover Park Group. With more than 10 years of communications experience, Brimmeier has been on the front lines of a national political campaign and in the midst of crisis management on Capitol Hill.
Brimmeier brings a wealth of experience in communications planning, media relations, policy development and event production to a diverse group of clients clients such as Yahoo!, Oxfam America, Environmental Defense Fund, Avon and the United Nations. While at GPG she successfully developed and executed a nationwide advocacy campaign for the Alliance for American Manufacturing built around a series of town hall events during the 2008 election cycle. The voter-centered operation was credited by The Wall Street Journal for focusing the Obama and Clinton campaigns’ debate on trade. In addition she helps to develop high-level events to support creative projects for clients such as Paramount, FOX-Searchlight, Warner Brothers, Spike TV and Lifetime TV.
Prior to joining GPG, Brimmeier was at global public affairs firm Burson-Marsteller, and also served as the Communications Director for the Kerry-Edwards campaign in Western Pennsylvania. In addition, she honed her communications and legislative experience from her time on Capitol Hill as Communications Director for Representative Nick Lampson. During her tenure with Lampson, whose district included the Johnson Space Center, Brimmeier oversaw crisis communications during the Columbia Space Shuttle tragedy in 2003. She also served as the Director for the Congressional Missing and Exploited Children's Caucus, were she coordinated the legislative agenda and press outreach for the largest bi-partisan caucus in Congress, including the passage of AMBER ALERT legislation. Brimmeier began her career as Deputy Press Secretary and Legislative Assistant for Representative Robert A. Borski.
Brimmeier holds a B.S. in secondary education from Pennsylvania State University, and though she still calls Pittsburgh home she now resides in Washington, D.C.
